Traveling To And From Tacony

Tacony is well connected to Center City, New York City, and other destinations.

By Car

Tacony has direct access to the I-95 corridor. It is also well connected to the three Northeast Philadelphia corridors of Roosevelt Avenue, Frankford Avenue, and State Road. Driving downtown can take as little as 15 or 20 minutes.

By Regional Rail

Philadelphia’s 30th Street, Suburban, and Jefferson Stations can be reached in less than 30 minutes from SEPTA’s Regional Rail Tacony Station. With trains running every 30 minutes to an hour, living in Tacony and working downtown is easy. The Regional Rail also serves Trenton, where NJ Transit trains connect to New York City.

By Other Public Transportation

There are also several bus lines which make car-free travel to key locations very simple. From the Market-Frankford subway line, a transfer to Bus Route 56 at the Erie - Torresdale stop or a transfer to Bus Route 84 at the Frankford Transportation Center stop will get you to convenient neighborhood locations in just 15 or 20 minutes. From the Frankford Transportation Center, you can catch a trackless trolley on the 66 line, which runs north and south along Frankford Avenue throughout the entirety of Northeast Philadelphia.
